Who we are?
Auto Taxi has for several years been an important part of the lives of many citizens in Torshavn.
Businesses and private individuals enjoy the service of Auto Taxi. We are located at 28 Niels Finsensgøta.

The story
At the founding meeting on 17 December 1952, which was held at the office of Trúgvi Samuelsen, lawyer, were present: Johannes Berg, Eigil Gunnarsson, Kaysten Andreasen, Henry Svenson and Andrew Djurhuus
Total share capital was ISK 10,500.
The first board meeting was held on the same day. The committee included Kaysten Andreasen, Johannes Berg and Eigil Gunnarsson. Jákup Jensen was elected auditor.
The committee was appointed with Eigil Gunnarsson as chairman, Johannes Berg as vice-chairman and Kaysten Andreasen, committee member.
The station was renamed P/F Taxa A/S.
The taxi had a phone. 450 all the years. Later, number 650 was added. Those who called for a car had to tell them at the telephone exchange which station they wanted, otherwise they were just diverted to some car station in town
